Dean Hancock

Dean Hancock is an I-CAR Platinum Certified technician and earned his Six Sigma black belt from Aveta Business Institute. Dean has nearly 40 years of experience in the collision repair industry and is the former owner of Bob Johnson’s Body Shop in Cayce SC, a collision repair shop specializing in heavy duty truck and automotive repair. He started his career as an automotive and commercial paint technician for ten years and spent twelve years as a paint manufacturer representative.

Dean was a founding member of a business council group for commercial collision repair. Dean saw a need for an owner and manager business group for commercial vehicles. To fill this need, he was a founding member of a business council and was elected president soon thereafter. Dean has been featured in Fender Bender and BodyShop Business magazines.

Dean also serves on the advisory board for the HD Forum, and serves as a facilitator for PPG Coatings Damage Analysis for commercial vehicles. His first-hand experience from years in commercial and automotive collision brings a unique approach to collision repair. He has a natural understanding of value and ability to process the critical thinking required in creating a lean organization.
